JSW Steel and South Korea's POSCO have signed a pact for a steel plant in India, reviving one of the industry's most-watched partnerships. A joint plant would combine POSCO's technology depth with JSW's domestic execution strength, adding world-scale capacity to India's pipeline — and with it, long-term demand for iron ore, ferro alloys and logistics in whichever state lands the site. The announcement reinforces the pattern of global steelmakers choosing India as the decade's growth market and committing accordingly.
