Godawari Power & Ispat has commenced production at its new pellet plant. Additional pellet capacity eases a persistent bottleneck for sponge iron makers in central India and supports the industry's shift toward higher-quality furnace burdens, which improve yield and cut emissions per tonne. The start-up is also a signal of continued private investment at the ore-beneficiation end of the chain — the unglamorous but essential capacity that determines how efficiently India's growing ore output converts into iron and steel.
