Sambhv Steel Tubes Shares Surge on Record Q3 Value-Added Product Volumes

Shares of Sambhv Steel Tubes Ltd witnessed strong buying interest in recent trade, rising nearly 7% intraday, after the company reported its highest-ever quarterly sales volumes for value-added products in Q3 FY26. The rally reflects growing investor confidence in the company’s expanding product mix and improving capacity utilisation.

During intraday trade, the stock touched a high of around ₹102, significantly outperforming the broader market. At current levels, Sambhv Steel Tubes commands a market capitalisation of approximately ₹2,900 crore, while trading well above its 52-week low despite remaining below last year’s peak.

Record Sales Performance in Q3 FY26

According to the company’s exchange disclosure, sales volumes of value-added products rose sharply on a year-on-year basis, reaching nearly 90,600 tonnes in Q3 FY26, compared with about 55,400 tonnes in the corresponding quarter last year.

The growth was driven by strong demand across multiple downstream segments, including:

  • Structural pipes and tubes

  • Pre-galvanised coils and pipes

  • Stainless steel coils

This performance marks the highest quarterly volume achieved by the company in its value-added product portfolio, highlighting the success of its strategy to move up the value chain.

When intermediate products such as sponge iron, blooms/slabs and hot-rolled coils are included, total sales volumes increased to around 97,500 tonnes in Q3 FY26, up from nearly 72,500 tonnes a year earlier.

Stainless Steel Segment Shows High Utilisation

The company also reported robust capacity utilisation in its stainless-steel operations, indicating improving operational efficiency and growing acceptance of its stainless product range. Stainless steel products typically offer higher margins compared to commoditised steel pipes, making this segment strategically important for Sambhv’s medium-term profitability.

Integrated Manufacturing Strength Supports Growth

Sambhv Steel Tubes operates a backward-integrated manufacturing model, allowing it to produce key raw materials in-house. Its product portfolio spans:

  • Sponge iron

  • Blooms and slabs

  • Hot-rolled and cold-rolled coils

  • ERW pipes and structural tubes

  • Pre-galvanised and galvanised pipes

  • Steel door frames

Notably, the company is among a limited group of domestic players capable of manufacturing stainless steel coils from in-house produced stainless blooms and slabs, providing better cost control and supply reliability.

Market Outlook

The sharp rise in Sambhv Steel Tubes’ share price reflects investor optimism around:

  • Sustained volume growth

  • Increasing contribution from value-added and stainless products

  • Improved asset utilisation across facilities

With infrastructure demand remaining firm and downstream steel consumption improving, Sambhv’s integrated structure and expanding product mix position it well to capitalise on domestic demand trends in the coming quarters.
